Relaxing Bath Salts

I don’t know about you, but a nice relaxing bath is hard to come by in my house. With two kids (a baby and a toddler), a husband, laundry, mopping, sweeping, dishes, and everything else life throws at me, most of the time I can barely even take a 20 minute shower. So, if we get the kiddos put to bed early enough, a hot bath is just what this mama needs!
I always love to add something extra to my bath’s, especially since I don’t get them very often, I want them to be special. Usually I throw a bath bomb in from Miss Selby’s and my bath goes from bland to BAM! But lately I’ve been reading about how amazing epsom salt can be for you, so I figured why not just make my own bath salts?!
Here’s a few benefits of epsom salt when added to a bath:
- Eases stress
- Relaxes the body & muscles
- Eliminates toxins
Every place I’ve read says you need to soak for at least 12-15 minutes… That shouldn’t be a problem to relax for a whole 15 minutes! 😉
I love easy and amazing recipes, and this is one. You just throw everything in a bowl and mix.
Another side note about the ingredients… baking soda is awesome for your body too. I make a ton of personal care products involving baking soda.
Some baking soda benefits:
- Helps exfoliate & smooth skin
- Helps clear rashes
- Relaxes your body
When you’ve mixed everything together, pour into a pretty container and keep by your bathtub 🙂 I didn’t have a super pretty container, but this will work.
Enjoy that bath! You’ve earned it!!
